Mobicious Launches SnapMyLife

Mobicious, Inc., has unveiled its new service, SnapMyLife, where users worldwide can instantly share photos taken with a camera phone. The SnapMyLife Web site, which is optimized for viewing on mobile phones, allows anybody with a camera phone to snap and share photos instantly with friends, family, and the world. The service has generated good response as an average of 1,000 people have joined each day over the 90-day testing period.

With SnapMyLife, consumers can share their photos with friends and family within seconds of taking the photos. Also, the comments, blogs and activities of your friends and family can directly be seen right from your mobile phone. SnapMyLife tries to make the activities fun and interactive with real-time alerts and broadcast of new photos.

Apart from providing instant access to photos taken on the mobile phones, SnapMyLife caters to the global market of consumers who use the mobile phone as their principal access to the Internet. It provides features such as Personalized Entertainment, where you can follow and interact with other users and brands while on-the-go; Instant Photo Uploads, where you can send photos using picture messaging (MMS) or e-mail; Share with Friends, where you can invite your friends directly from your mobile phone; the ability to post both public and private photos; the ability to see friends’ latest photos, comments, and activity; and the facility to get friends’ new photos instantly delivered to your phone.

“Internet-based social networks and photo-sharing sites have recently introduced mobile uploading features, but have only scratched the surface,” said George Grey, CEO and founder, SnapMyLife in a press release. “Many of SnapMyLife’s early users prefer to use the mobile-focused SnapMyLife site over services that provide their ‘full-experience’ on desktop interfaces.”

At SnapMyLife, you can also use behind-the-scenes pictures, user-generated photos, commentary, and promotions to entertain your near and dear ones. The Web site is already getting famous. More than 500,000 unique visitors from over 180 countries visited the mobile site in March 2008. The site has already served over 4 million page views and appeared in the top 10 social networking Web applications for the Apple (News - Alert) iPhone.
