BT (News - Alert) has unveiled its BT Total Broadband Anywhere, an all-inclusive package that includes a free, Internet-capable smartphone. The company has also launched BT ToGo and BT’s Total Broadband service in the home.

 

With the Broadband Anywhere plans, customers get a choice of two stylish, yet functional BT ToGo smartphones2 — the HTC S620 or S710 — both powered by Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows Mobile 6. Offering cheaper calls through BT Broadband Talk3, BT ToGo connects to the Internet at broadband speeds when in range of a WiFi hotspot. The package also provides a 10 MB monthly download allowance when out of WiFi (News - Alert) range, and includes 50 call minutes and 50 texts on any network at any time. BT also provides larger minute and text bundle options.

 

BT claims the new BT Total Broadband Anywhere option provides the most complete broadband experience, both at home and on the road, for surfing the Web, sending and receiving e-mails, making calls, or texting. The plan is only £5 more than the price of BT Total Broadband Option 3 at £23.99 per month.

 

Integrating seamlessly with many other BT Total Broadband services, BT ToGo is preconfigured with a BT e-mail address. Customers also have the option of setting up other popular email accounts easily. BT ToGo also includes mobile security software for comprehensive virus protection. At home, BT’s premium Option 3 Total Broadband service is available to Broadband Anywhere customers with a free, future-proof black wireless Home Hub with Hub Phone, download speeds of up to 8Mb/s with unlimited downloads, advanced online security, free 5GB Digital Vault secure online storage, and free 24/7 customer support.

 

Equipped with a media player to enjoy the music and videos on the go, BT ToGo provides a built-in camera for taking photos and video clips. Also, photos taken with the BT ToGo can be quickly transferred to a personal online BT Digital Vault to store them or share them with family and friends.
