Mobopia and ACCESS Join Forces to Offer Long Tail Mobile Content

Mobopia Corporation has announced a partnership with ACCESS, a Japanese provider of advanced software technologies, for creating an integrated Widget platform specifically for delivering a wider variety of content to mobile devices.

Mobopia is the creator of the first Open Mobile Publishing Network, Xuinet, which provides tools and services to Flash developers for creating mobile content. Xuinet provides developers using varied platforms and working from diverse geographical locations a common and simple platform for creating content and services. The company’s Widget client, Xoe, uses Mobile Flash Widgets, known as Xui’s, to bring rich media content to users of mobile devices.

Mobopia’s partnership with ACCESS is intended to combine the services of Xoe with ACCESS’ microbrowser for embedded devices, NetFront, to enable the delivery of an open and flexible Widget platform to mobile users.

"By extending our partnership with ACCESS we will benefit from the extensive global distribution and reach of a world-class market leader," states Ray Taylor, CEO and president, Mobopia.

"By combining our industry-leading technology platforms, we are able to offer long tail content through a complete end-to-end ecosystem for Flash developers, making it easier to get on device, and ultimately, make money in mobile,” added Taylor.

The integrated client solution is designed to enhance the availability of rich online content to a wider customer population worldwide. It is expected to reach markets by the third quarter of 2008.

According to Tomy Kamada, CTO, executive vice president and co-founder of ACCESS, "As a pioneer in advanced software solutions for mobile and Internet-enabled devices, it is important for us to establish strong, strategic partnerships to ensure we are at the cutting edge of technology."

"We are excited to be partnering with Mobopia to deliver the ultimate mobile Internet user experience and look forward to working with the company to help extend the growing market momentum of Widgets on mobile platforms," said Kamada.
